Knitted Sharks Themed Skinny Scarf

I know I swore off knitting, but I had a lot of leftover yarn that was begging to be used. I gave in and decided to make myself a skinny scarf to wear to Sharks games during wintertime. On advice from a friend, I bought myself some new, shorter, lighter needles. Turns out all it took was these new needles to soften my heart towards knitting. Don't worry, I don't plan to go on a knitting extravaganza anytime soon, but I do feel more confident about taking on future knitting projects.

I have always loved pigs, so my parents take advantage of any opportunity to give me pig-related stuff. This Christmas, my mom painted a piggy bank as one of her presents for me - by far my favorite present from her this year. I thought it was so cute and thoughtful of her. When she handed the box to me, she said, "It's ok if you laugh. It's ugly." But you know, I love it!

My mom made sure to point out the one good flower on the piggy's back that she had a coworker paint for her.

Flower Confetti Birthday Card

I cannot believe that Izzie is turning 3!!! Kids grow up way too quickly.

I wanted to make her a simple birthday card using some flower confetti I've had sitting around. Unfortunately, unless you are up close, the design is a little difficult to see because the flower petals are a white translucent color. Regardless, I am still pleased with the results. Happy Birthday Izzie!

Albie Birthday Giftwrap

Sunny's birthday is just around the corner. Since she'll be home during her birthday, I wanted to get her present to her before she leaves for the holidays. The girl loves her lip gloss, so bought her the Laura Mercier Mini Lip Glacé Set.

The girl also loves Albie Manzo, son of Real Housewife of New Jersey Caroline Manzo. So I did what any friend would do - wrap up her gift with a some custom-made Albie gift wrap. I have not heard Sunny shriek that loud in a long time.....

Why I've Been MIA

I have this tendency to overbook my calendar, AND I have trouble saying no - especially when it comes to anything related to close friends, music or hockey. This is exactly what happened to me during the past few months.

From the beginning of October till now, I have been to 5 concerts, 2 operas, and 5 hockey games.

I hung out with some of my favorite people including Baby Noah, my roommate Jess, and my best friend Maddi.

All the while, the fabric pile on my cart kept getting bigger and bigger. Now that things are winding down, I can hopefully start crafting again. *crossing my fingers*
